You may have already read the recent blog post by Lucene/Solr committer and PMC member, Yonik Seely, announcing that the first person who submits a paper about SolrCloud to ApacheCon that is accepted by the ApacheCon review committee will receive an all expense paid trip to AppacheCon being held in Germany this November.  I am eagerly awaiting submissions.

Well – I have another SolrCloud proposal for your consideration.  Our technical team is submitting a proposal for a panel discussion of 3 or 4 developers who have experience in SolrCloud.  If accepted, I too will pay the airfare and hotel expenses of these 3 or 4 individuals.  Apparently I have the bigger budget :-).  The submission process for this panel will be different than the offer from Yonik.  Since our team will be submitting the panel discussion abstract to the Apache Foundation, individuals wishing to participate in this roundtable need only email me personally to be considered, telling me about your experience and why you should be included on the panel. So tick-tock – I will take the first 3 or 4 developers with real SolrCloud experience.  If this is you, I want to hear from you at nancy.colwell@lucidworks.com.

I look forward to seeing everybody at ApacheCon in November.
