LucidWorks Appoints Sarath Jarugula Vice President of Product Management
Industry Veteran Helps Shape the Next Generation of Open Source Enterprise Search
San Mateo, CA (February 4, 2011) LucidWorks, the commercial company behind Apache Solr/Lucene search technology, today announced that Sarath Jarugula has joined the company as vice president of product management responsible for product definition, roadmap, and positioning strategies.
Mr. Jarugula has more than 12 years of management experience in engineering, product strategy, and product marketing, with expertise in semantic search, CRM, enterprise and consumer software products. He joins Lucid from InQuira, where he was senior director of product management, responsible for search, user experience, and new product initiatives. Prior to InQuira, he was the director of product management at Knova Software, where he led the product strategy and roadmap efforts for Knova’s $30 million enterprise search, collaboration, and knowledge management product line. Before Knova, he was a senior product manager at Microsoft, where he led the effort to create a performance management framework that is recognized as a Top-5 Microsoft management tool and is offered as part of Microsoft’s service solutions. Mr. Jarugula also held management positions at eGain Communications, Gandiva and NEC.
