Ravi Mohan
Ravi is a Managing Director at Shasta Ventures and co-founded the firm in 2004. With more $1B under management, Shasta Ventures is a leading early-stage venture capital firm investing in Smart Software for the enterprise – breakthrough products that change the way we work.
Ravi has focused his entire career on creating and funding software to help enterprises become more competitive. He works with passionate entrepreneurs who possess unique product and market perspectives that result in disruptive companies. He helps founders work through the trials of finding product-market fit and joins forces to figure out how best to develop, execute, and fund their go-to-market strategies and plans. In addition to Lucidworks, Ravi led Shasta’s investments in leading enterprise software companies including Anaplan (NYSE: PLAN), Apptio (NASDAQ: APTI), Volometrix (acquired by Microsoft), Finsphere (acquired by VISA), iConclude (acquired by HP), Lithium (acquired by Vista Equity), WatchDox (acquired by Blackberry) and Zenprise (acquired by Citrix).
Prior to Shasta Ventures, Ravi was a general partner at Battery Ventures. Ravi started his career building transaction-processing systems at Accenture, selling and implementing software applications for Hyperion Software Corp., and running MIC, a business intelligence software company in India. He also spent time at McKinsey & Co., working with consumer-packaged goods companies.
Ravi holds a B.S. degree in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University and a M.B.A. degree from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
